Janette Foss Garcia is an Archivist and Librarian. She has worked in Texas, Iowa, and now Illinois, where she is Head of Collections at the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center at Augustana College in Rock Island. She has written and co-edited four local historical books, including the photo-historical book, “Edinburg” Texas in the Images of America series. She likes to highlight the national and international Swedish-American resources at the Swenson Center and enjoys connecting students, genealogists, and researchers to the Swenson Center’s archival and library resources.
